Not everyone is a fan of the "notch" in Apple's recent MacBooks. The good news is that you can make the notch (almost) disappear by just putting a black menu bar across the top of the display.

We released De-Notch-ifier in 2021 to solve this problem for those of you who want to hide the notch, but functionally, it was always equivalent to our other product called Boring Old Menu Bar, so we have folded all its functionality into that product.

Just visit the Boring Old Menu Bar Home Page to download and install the program.

All you need to do to make the notch disappear is to configure Boring Old Menu Bar to show a black menu bar.
