PCWorld Review
Of all the group-file-renaming products we've tried, the most versatile and easiest to use is Better File Rename.
You just select the items to rename from within Explorer, right-click, and choose the Better File Rename menu command to see a handy dialog box with abundant (but thoughtfully organized) options.
And Better File Rename is one of the few rename utilities that work with folder names as well as file names.
Better File Select for Windows
The ideal companion for Better File Rename, Better File Select selects files based on a variety of criteria, such as partial file matches, wildcards or regular expressions.
Better File Attributes for Windows
The third member of the Better File series allows you to modify the creation and modification dates of files.
Mac Version
A Better Finder Rename for Mac OS X offers similar functionality to Macintosh users.
