Things Integration

Vitamin-R is designed to work side-by-side with to-do list managers, such as Cultured Code’s popular Things application. Vitamin-R features a direct integration with Things that works as follows:

To-Do Completion Options

Things offers two different ways of marking a to-do as “completed.” If you want your to-do to remain in the same project as before, you can simply “tick it” to mark it as completed. If you do not want the to-do to remain in its project, you can move it to the Log Book, which logs all completed actions.

Vitamin-R supports both ways of working and, by default, will mark the to-do as “completed” and move it to the Log Book. You can customize this behavior in the Integration tab of Vitamin-R’s Preferences dialog: Vitamin-R 3 ⇒ Preferences ⇒ Integration.

You can edit the hyperlink text to your liking, or you can add additional text to the objective field. As long as the hyperlink is present somewhere in the Objective text field, Vitamin-R will find it.

Compatibility

We are trying to remain backwards compatible with old Things releases, but the current integration has only been tested with the latest Things 3 application.
