Once you start using A Better Finder Rename more frequently, you’ll soon find that you are often applying the same renaming actions over and over again.
There are several different ways of automating such renaming tasks and as of version 11, Presets are the most powerful as well as the preferred method for doing so.
A Preset is simply a snapshot of your current action settings. You can restore these settings with a simple mouse click at any time.
Presets only store action settings, not preferences (e.g. showing confirmation dialogs, etc.) or processing settings (e.g. files, folder, subfolders and their contents).
Once you have stored one or more presets, you can rename files using them without opening the main application simply by drag & dropping the files onto the application icon (of the closed application).
